Job Summary:

As an Ophthalmic Technician at Baptist Memorial Health Care, you will play a vital role in providing patient care and delivering high-quality services in our clinic. We are seeking a skilled and compassionate individual to join our team and contribute to the well-being of our patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out initial vision assessments to ensure accurate diagnoses and treatment plans.
  • Perform auto-refraction measurements to determine the correct prescription for patients.
  • Conduct pupil and visual field assessments to identify any potential issues.
  • Administer anesthetic and dilating medications as needed to facilitate patient care.
  • Perform surgical measurements and coordinate surgical planning to ensure seamless procedures.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4 years of high school education or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Preferred: 1 year of relevant experience in a clinic, medical office, or hospital setting.
  • BLS certification within 14 days of hire.
