Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive and review repair orders from the service advisor and proceed to the designated work area.
  • Execute tasks as outlined in the repair order efficiently and accurately, in line with dealership and manufacturer standards.
  • Diagnose malfunctions and perform necessary repairs.
  • Collaborate with the parts department to secure required components.
  • Tag and save parts for warranty jobs or customer requests.
  • Inspect vehicles to identify any additional safety or service needs.
  • Communicate promptly with the service advisor regarding any unnecessary additional work or delays in repairs.
  • Conduct road tests when necessary, ensuring customer vehicles are not used for personal errands.
  • Oversee the work of apprentice technicians as assigned.
  • Maintain a clean work area and account for all dealership-owned tools.
  • Adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations regarding hazardous waste disposal.
  • Follow all company safety protocols and report any incidents to management immediately.

Qualifications:

  • ASE certifications are highly desirable.
  • Experience with GM vehicles is preferred.
  • A strong automotive background is essential.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Willingness to undergo a background check.
  • Must possess a valid and clean driver's license.
