Seminole Chevrolet is seeking a skilled Transmission Technician to join our service team. As a Transmission Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining automotive transmissions on various vehicles. This role requires a strong understanding of transmission systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair transmission issues
• Perform routine maintenance on transmissions
• Communicate with parts department to obtain necessary parts
• Save and tag parts if the job is under warranty or requested by the customer
• Examine vehicles to determine if additional safety or service work is required
• Notify service advisor of any additional work needed or required
• Supervise work of apprentice technicians as assigned
• Keep shop area clean and account for all dealership-owned tools

Requirements:

• ASE certifications are a major plus
• GM experience as a Transmission Technician is highly preferred
• Strong automotive background
• Strong teamwork skills
• Willing to submit to a background check
• Must have a clean and valid driver's license
