Position Title: Metal Fabrication Specialist

Location: Dublin, TX

Department: Structural Fabrication

Compensation: $19/hr

Overview: The Metal Fabrication Specialist plays a crucial role in the assembly of steel structures, ensuring adherence to blueprints and pre-engineered drawings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately read and interpret engineering blueprints.
  • Position and layout metal components for assembly.
  • Utilize welding equipment to heat, form, and finish metal parts.
  • Incorporate stiffeners, brackets, and face plates as specified in technical drawings prior to final welding.
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
  • Secure necessary configurations for welding through tack-welding, heat-bending, clamping, holding, or grinding.
  • Collaborate effectively within a team setting.
  • Employ measuring tools with proficiency.
  • Execute additional tasks as directed by management.

Qualifications:

  • Must successfully complete a 1G weld test.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Capability to comprehend and follow both written and verbal instructions.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting safety guidelines, operating instructions, and procedural manuals.
  • Exhibit a positive attitude and a willingness to collaborate as a team member.
  • Adhere to safety protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment.

  • Must be able to lift and/or move more than 50 pounds.
