Production Assembly Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the fabrication and testing of coils, valve packages, and sheet metal components, as well as the assembly and testing of commercial air conditioning units. Your role will involve diagnosing and resolving production challenges, ensuring adherence to quality standards, maintaining production documentation, and overseeing daily housekeeping tasks. You will operate machinery and equipment critical to the production of coil cores.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Review necessary documentation to identify required assembly processes and special options.
  • Gather and prepare all necessary materials, tools, and supplies to meet production demands.
  • Adhere to all inspection and quality assurance protocols as mandated.
  • Maintain quality objectives to fulfill both internal and external customer requirements.
  • Provide technical guidance and support as necessary.
  • Adapt to changing job requirements in a flexible, lean environment, which may include taking on additional roles for production needs or cross-training.
  • Accept and execute additional responsibilities as assigned.
Knowledge/Skills:
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, bills of materials, and various technical documents.
  • Skilled in using measurement tools such as protractors, tapes, and dial calipers.
Qualifications & Essential Job Functions:
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience is required.
  • Ability to stand and walk for a full 10-hour shift; must possess full use of both arms and hands; capable of lifting and carrying up to 40 lbs.
  • Ability to work independently and complete assignments with minimal supervision.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, leadership capabilities, and effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of managing multiple tasks.
  • Positive attitude, team-oriented, and eager to engage in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Willingness to accept additional tasks and responsibilities as needed.
  • Commitment to following all company policies and procedures.
Working Conditions:

The working environment is typical of a manufacturing setting. The role involves frequent lifting of materials and products weighing up to 40 pounds. Equipment operation necessitates the use of safety gear, including safety glasses with side shields, hearing protection, hard-toed safety shoes, protective gloves, and aprons as required. The work schedule is structured around a 10-hour shift, with overtime expected based on business requirements.
