Job Summary:
The Service Leader is a key member of the restaurant team, responsible for ensuring a positive customer experience by maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient service environment. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a clean and organized service area, including the dining room, kitchen, and restrooms.
- Ensure that all food and beverages are prepared and served in a timely and accurate manner.
- Lead and motivate the restaurant team to provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive work environment.
- Monitor and maintain food safety and quality standards, including proper food handling, storage, and disposal procedures.
- Assist with training and development of restaurant team members, including new hire orientation and ongoing training and coaching.
- Conduct regular inventory and ordering of supplies and equipment to ensure that the restaurant is well-stocked and equipped to meet customer demand.
- Assist with cash handling and banking procedures, including counting and reconciling cash and credit card transactions.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment, preferably in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of food safety and quality standards, including proper food handling, storage, and disposal procedures.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
