Your Role:
As a Property Claims Field Adjuster, you will play a crucial role in investigating and managing property and casualty claims. Your responsibilities will include determining liability, gathering necessary information, reviewing coverage details, coordinating appraisals, and finalizing claims settlements. This position involves fieldwork focused on homeowner property claims.
Key Responsibilities:
- Investigate the origin and cause of claims by engaging with relevant parties, including insured individuals, claimants, agents, and legal representatives.
- Identify complex issues and seek assistance when necessary, handling claims with integrity.
- Manage both first-party and third-party claims across various policy types and endorsements.
- Conduct on-site assessments as required, evaluate damages, and negotiate settlements with insured parties, claimants, and legal representatives.
- Address customer inquiries, make informed decisions, and close files as appropriate.
- Interpret and apply policy documents, leases, and contracts to assigned claims.
- Proactively communicate the claims process and status to all involved parties, addressing questions or redirecting as needed.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in delivering customer-focused solutions and support.
- Experience in managing first-party and third-party claims across multiple lines.
- Demonstrated ability to handle moderately complex claims.
- Strong understanding of policies and endorsements related to casualty coverage.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the claims handling process.
Licensing Requirements:
- Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
- State-specific property casualty claims licensing as required.
Travel Expectations:
- Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
- Availability for catastrophe duty up to 75% as necessary.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to navigate ladders, stairs, and various terrains.
- Capability to work in diverse environments, including confined spaces.
- Ability to lift or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
Working Conditions:
- Exposure to varying temperatures and outdoor elements.
- Ability to work in noisy or hazardous environments.
- Comfortable working in small or enclosed spaces.
Additional Information:
We encourage candidates with property claims adjusting experience and familiarity with estimating software to apply. This role primarily allows for remote work, with occasional office visits for team engagements and training.
