Job Summary:

As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing a safe, engaging, and enriching out-of-school experience for children.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the planning and implementation of daily activities for children aged 13 and younger.
  • Engage children in age-appropriate activities, promoting their physical, emotional, and cognitive development.
  • Maintain a clean and organized environment, ensuring the well-being and safety of all children.
  • Provide support and assistance to enrichment curriculum-related tasks, fostering a love for learning.
  • Ensure direct supervision of children at all times, maintaining ratios and providing a secure environment.
  • Travel to multiple program locations as needed, providing backup support to our team.

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent and one year of direct experience in childcare.
  • Must be cleared through NYS OCFS, including background checks, medical clearance, and fingerprinting.
  • Regular and predictable attendance is essential.

Travel and Physical Requirements:

  • Must have a valid NYS Driver's License.
  • Must be able to travel to various site locations as needed to maintain OCFS ratio compliance.
  • Must have independent, reliable transportation to report to a designated location as scheduled.
  • This position requires prolonged periods of standing, frequent bending, and the ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
