Position Overview:
The Center for Diagnostic Imaging is seeking a dedicated Registration Specialist to enhance our patient services. This role is essential in ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for patients seeking imaging services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Patient Registration (75%): Welcome and check-in patients for imaging services, accurately register demographic details, and manage payment plans and copays.
  • Field calls efficiently for center staff and confirm upcoming appointments with patients.
  • Act as a communication bridge between technologists and patients, providing updates on exam statuses and clinic information.
  • Maintain the front office environment, ensuring a tidy lobby with organized materials and supplies.
  • Prepare necessary documentation for daily appointments and manage the transmission of reports and medical forms to referring offices.
  • Collaborate closely with technologists to facilitate a seamless transition for patients between the front office and technical areas.

Insurance Management (10%):
  • Verify patient insurance coverage and pre-certify exams with insurance providers.
  • Obtain necessary authorizations and handle requests for the release of patient information in accordance with company policies.

Scheduling Duties (10%):
  • Coordinate transportation, interpreters, and accommodations for patients as needed.
  • Process patient exam orders and ensure they align with scheduled appointments.
  • Manage walk-in patients and requests for imaging orders from referring physicians.
  • Maintain an accurate database of current and potential referring physicians.

Additional Responsibilities (5%):
Complete other assigned tasks as required.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • 1-2 years of experience in customer service.
  • Strong computer skills and typing proficiency.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in a medical office setting.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and insurance processes.
  • Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
