Vero Networks is actively looking for a dedicated individual to fill the role of Staff Accountant. This full-time position plays a crucial role in maintaining precise and timely financial reporting while ensuring adherence to GAAP standards. The successful candidate will take ownership of various finance and accounting functions, thriving in a dynamic and self-directed work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the month-end closing activities, including the preparation of journal entries and the analysis of financial statements for accuracy.
  • Prepare and review monthly account reconciliations to ensure financial integrity.
  • Engage in periodic inventory assessments, assisting with the reconciliation of physical inventory to the subledger.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership and project managers on capital budgeting and planning, demonstrating effective communication and listening skills.
  • Monitor project expenditures against the capital budget by reviewing contracts and change orders to ensure accurate project coding, while investigating and resolving any variances.
  • Coordinate with project management to oversee purchase orders, invoicing, and expenditure reviews for proper authorization and coding.
  • Consolidate and report on capital budgets and spending across multiple business units on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Assist project managers in planning cash flow requirements and timing.
  • Evaluate expenses across various business entities for potential capitalization in accordance with company policy.
  • Work collaboratively across departments to enhance internal controls, capital tracking, financial reporting, and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Prepare external reports for auditors and other stakeholders as necessary.
  • Manage the purchasing process, including vendor setup, purchase order creation, and compliance with budget constraints.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
