Quality Inspector - 2nd Shift

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Inspector to join our 2nd shift team at our Mason City, Iowa manufacturing facility. As a Quality Inspector, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality, reliability, and performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct dimensional, mechanical, and visual inspections of incoming materials, in-process products, and finished goods to support production lines and meet established requirements.
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Document inspection results by completing reports and logs, summarizing re-work and waste, and inputting data into the quality database.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations and in accordance with 5S practices.
  • Communicate quality control information to all relevant departments, suppliers, and customers.
  • Assist in the development of inspection processes and procedures.
  • Identify and document any quality issues and collaborate with the production team to implement corrective actions.
  • Conduct data collection to support line historical data requirements and or machine studies.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • American Society Quality (ASQ), Quality Technician Certification or any additional technical training or certification in Quality Control is preferred.
  • Previous knowledge of Quality Management Systems is preferred.
  • Ability to use gauging instruments including hardness tester.
  • Proficiency in using measuring tools and equipment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for identifying defects.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Basic computer skills, including familiarity with quality management software.
