Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Contract Negotiation Manager to join our team at Umbra. As a key member of our procurement department, you will be responsible for managing the full contract lifecycle for both government and commercial contracts.

With a strong background in contract negotiation and management, you will oversee the administration of contracts from inception to completion, ensuring compliance with federal regulations, contractual obligations, and organizational policies.

You will also lead negotiations for new contracts, modifications, and renewals across government and commercial sectors, ensuring favorable terms and compliance with applicable requirements.

In this role, you will work closely with legal, finance, sales, and operations teams to draft and review contract language, support deal structures, and mitigate risk.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contract Administration: Oversee the administration of contracts, ensure compliance with federal regulations and organizational policies.
  • Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations for new contracts, modifications, and renewals.
  • Compliance Management: Ensure adherence to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), and other relevant regulations.
  • Deal Desk Support: Act as a key member of the deal desk, supporting cross-functional teams in structuring and approving deals.
  • Performance Monitoring and Risk Management: Monitor and evaluate contract performance, identify and mitigate risks associated with government and commercial contracts.
  • Stakeholder Relations: Build and maintain relationships with government contracting officers, agency representatives, commercial partners, and other key stakeholders.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Law, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in both government and commercial contract management, with a demonstrated track record of managing complex contracts.
  • TS/SCI security clearance, read-in within the past two years.
  • Direct experience with government intelligence community within the past two years.
  • Willingness to visit customers throughout the National Capital Region.
  • Proven expertise in government and commercial contracting, with a thorough understanding of procurement processes, contract negotiation, and data rights.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to build and maintain relationships with government officials, commercial clients, and internal stakeholders.

Estimated Salary Range: $125,000 - $230,000 per year.
