We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Psychologist to join our team at the State of South Carolina. As a Licensed Psychologist, you will be responsible for providing therapeutic and evaluation services to youth in our secure facilities and community division.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and facilitate therapeutic and evaluation services to youth, including delivery of specialized groups, psychiatric referrals, and court-ordered psychological assessments/evaluations.
- Collaborate with directors and supervisors to provide and/or monitor therapeutic and evaluation services to identified youth.
- Participate in staffing's and hearings associated with SMI inclusion process of youth.
- Provide clinical and evaluation support to other DJJ facilities across the state.
- Participate in supervisory on-call rotation for after-hours crisis management needs.
- Doctorate in applied psychology from an accredited college or university.
- Experience in the practice of applied psychology.
- Knowledge of current psychological theory, practice, assessment, and evaluation techniques.
- Knowledge of risk, need, and responsivity model and principles.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work and communicate effectively with youth, families, staff, and other entities.
- Doctoral degree in applied psychology from an APA accredited program in psychology.
- Currently licensed to practice psychology in SC.
- Experience working with youth in a secure environment and providing trauma-focused and responsive services.
