Job SummaryWe are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver/Support Professional to join our team. As a Caregiver/Support Professional, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, autism, mental illness, and behavioral challenges.
Responsibilities- Support Individuals with Daily Living Tasks: Assist with personal hygiene, meal preparation, and other daily living tasks to promote independence and well-being.
- Encourage Participation in Community Activities: Support individuals in participating in community activities, such as shopping, dining, and recreational activities, to promote socialization and community integration.
- Develop and Implement Individualized Support Plans: Work with individuals and their support teams to develop and implement individualized support plans that promote growth, learning, and independence.
- Provide Emotional Support and Advocacy: Provide emotional support and advocacy to individuals, their families, and support teams to promote understanding and acceptance of individuals with disabilities.
- Collaborate with Support Teams: Collaborate with support teams, including family members, healthcare professionals, and other support staff, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated support.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: No experience required, but previous experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred.
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and ability to adapt to changing situations.
- Behaviors: Patient, compassionate, reliable, and responsible.
