Job Overview

The Yusa Corporation is seeking a skilled **2nd Shift CNC Machinist** to join our dynamic manufacturing team. This role involves the precise **manufacturing, modification, and fabrication** of individual components or complete assemblies, supporting various departments including production, quality assurance, research and development, and engineering.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

  • Utilize conventional mills, lathes, CNC machining centers, and specialty tools such as surface grinders and EDM machines to produce high-quality parts.
  • Work with a diverse range of materials, employing multiple manufacturing processes to create finished components.
  • Ensure accuracy and efficiency in production by implementing custom fixturing, setups, and tooling selections, alongside CAM software.
  • Demonstrate punctuality and maintain consistent attendance, which are vital for success in this role.
  • Independently tackle complex machining tasks, utilizing CAD files, engineering drawings, and sketches to devise plans for fixturing and operations.
  • Design and fabricate holding fixtures for machining raw materials and components.
  • Select and secure appropriate fixtures, cutting tools, and materials on various machines.
  • Calculate and set controls to optimize machining factors such as speed, feed, and depth of cut, ensuring precision in operations.
  • Program tool paths independently to achieve optimal machining outcomes.
  • Monitor the machining process to guarantee the production of accurate parts, making necessary adjustments to minimize rework.
  • Verify that finished components meet engineering specifications and tolerances.
  • Communicate effectively with team members regarding manufacturability challenges and propose solutions that align with design intent.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed within the work order system.
  • Exhibit a willingness to work overtime as required.
