Parking Attendant Representative

Key Responsibilities- Direct incoming customers to available parking spaces, providing clear instructions and ensuring a smooth parking experience.
- Count vehicles on location throughout your shift, maintaining accurate records and adhering to our policies.
- Issue violation warnings to tenants and visitors who violate our garage policies, handling each situation professionally and promptly.
- Patrol transient and reserved parking levels on foot or in customized motor carts, if applicable, keeping a keen eye out for any issues or concerns.
- Provide assistance to customers who have forgotten where they parked their vehicle, using your knowledge of the garage and surrounding area to help them find their car.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism, being at work every scheduled day, on time, and in uniform.
- Offer courteous assistance to customers, answering any questions they may have and directing them to the Facility Manager for further assistance if needed.
- Control traffic at entrances and exits as necessary, ensuring a safe and efficient flow of vehicles.
- Assist in the maintenance and repair of parking equipment and perform general maintenance tasks as directed by the Facility Manager.
- Report any known accidents, observed or suspected violations of Company policy, safety hazards, or unusual occurrences to the Facility Manager.
- Communicate debris, water, oil spills, and other issues to the garage office in a timely manner.
- Substitute for Valets when necessary, if authorized, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to adapt to changing circumstances.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of all areas of the garage, major streets, landmarks, and freeways in the area, utilizing this expertise to provide excellent customer service.
- Support the Facility Manager with other duties as needed, showcasing your ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
We offer a competitive salary range of $15-$20 per hour, depending on location, plus the opportunity to earn tips. Eligible employees participate in various benefits plans, including medical, dental, vision, flexible spending accounts, long/short-term disability, life insurance, accident insurance, 401(k), and paid time off.
To perform this job successfully, you must be able to fulfill each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. The ideal candidate will possess less than a High School education or one month of related experience, training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A valid state-issued driver's license, with a current address and acceptable driving record, is required if you're expected to drive a company vehicle or drive on company business.
Availability to work special shifts, such as 2nd shift, 3rd shift, and/or weekends, may be required, depending on the location's hiring needs.
You will need to demonstrate the ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos, as well as write simple correspondence. Additionally, you must be able to effectively present information in one-on-one situations to customers and other employees of the company.
The physical demands of this role include standing regularly, walking, and using hands to handle cash and equipment.
