Tasks performed have predetermined procedures and guidance, and supervision is provided as needed. You will support the RN in patient care delivery as dictated by comfort and safety and in accordance with identified training and certification.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work tasks are fully defined, and you will refer more difficult issues to the RN.
  • You will use judgment to perform tasks and accept accountability for your actions.
  • You will consistently support compliance and the Principles of Responsibility by maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of information, protecting the assets of the organization, acting with ethics and integrity, reporting non-compliance, and adhering to applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations, accreditation, and licenser requirements (if applicable), and Kaiser Permanente policies and procedures.
  • You will demonstrate effective written/verbal communication, document and relay messages or instructions accurately, report patient information on a timely basis, verify understanding of information, and ask for clarification when necessary.
  • You will contribute to a positive patient care experience, anticipate the customer's desires, and take proactive steps to meet those needs.
  • You will obtain vital signs and collect data, report values outside given parameters, report observations, and report outcomes of assigned nursing care tasks.

Requirements:

  • Completion of an OSBN-approved CNA 1 program.
  • One year of experience as a CNA 1.
  • Nursing Assistant Certificate - Level 2 (Oregon).
  • Basic Life Support within one month of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a CNA 2 Acute Care.
  • Computer keyboarding skills.
