About Community Support Services for the Deaf, Inc.

We are a dedicated organization committed to empowering Deaf and hard-of-hearing adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities to live fulfilling lives within their communities.

Position: Direct Support Professional

As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate and individualized support to our clients. You will work closely with them to enhance their independence, well-being, and overall quality of life.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household chores.
  • Provide companionship and engage in meaningful social interactions.
  • Support clients in accessing community resources and participating in recreational activities.
  • Implement individualized support plans tailored to each client's unique needs and goals.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of client care.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred but not required.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL).
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to providing high-quality care.
