The Senior Manufacturing Process Engineer plays a pivotal role in the design, development, and optimization of manufacturing processes aimed at achieving excellence in quality, cost efficiency, and timely delivery for Celestica and its clientele.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design and implement innovative manufacturing processes to enhance product support.
2. Develop software applications and tools for complex machinery and mechanical processes within the manufacturing sector.
3. Conduct assessments of machine capabilities and process applications utilizing Design of Experiments and statistical methodologies to ensure optimal resource utilization and throughput while minimizing costs.
4. Lead structured problem-solving initiatives for intricate product and process challenges impacting operational efficiency.
5. Collaborate with product designers to evaluate and provide insights on design manufacturability.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in similar roles.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Work Environment:
The duties of this position are primarily conducted in a standard office setting, which may require prolonged periods of sitting and focused visual concentration on screens and detailed data. Repetitive tasks such as data entry and computer usage are common, and occasional travel may be necessary.
