Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Service Technician to join our team at Schuler North America. As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for repairing and assembling Schuler products and equipment, as well as performing preventative maintenance and troubleshooting tasks.

Responsibilities
  • Repair and assemble Schuler products and equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components.
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks, including inspections and repairs, to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues, using technical knowledge and problem-solving skills.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of Schuler Standards and Service Manual formats.
  • Assist customers in determining required repair or spare parts, and provide technical support as needed.
  • Document all work performed, including service reports and field notes.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to resolve problems and achieve goals.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices, and apply this knowledge to improve service delivery.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree preferred.
  • At least 2-5 years of related experience, with a strong background in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Experience with preventative maintenance and machine troubleshooting.
  • Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and schematics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and colleagues.
  • Valid passport and driver's license, with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Ability to travel extensively, with a willingness to work in a dynamic business environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with the ability to learn new software and technologies.
Preferred Qualifications
  • German language skills a plus.
  • TOEFL exam and score above passing grade for visa holders/English as Second Language (ESL) individuals.
