Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing and administrative support to clinicians and other healthcare team members to deliver a range of healthcare services to patients.
  • Perform clinical tasks and procedures under the direction of a clinician, within the scope of your professional training and individual competency.
  • Conduct focused/limited nursing assessments and triage on routine or self-limiting medical conditions, and recognize when to defer to or assist with comprehensive assessments for complex medical conditions.
  • Utilize standardized tools to identify and address health maintenance/care gaps with patients and alert clinicians to those that require their attention.
  • Contribute to the development, implementation, or modification of individualized patient plans of care under the direction of a clinician.
Practice Management Activities
  • Maintain and adjust clinicians' patient schedules for efficient patient flow and appointment management.
  • Respond to incoming messages and requests via telephone, mail, or from patients or other departments, collecting and communicating pertinent data requiring clinicians' review and input.
  • Facilitate and complete follow-up duties on patients' plans of care as directed by clinicians, including processing prescriptions and forms, reminding patients of screening/diagnostic tests, and scheduling procedures and appointments.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Practical Nurse License (Washington) within 6 months of hire, or Compact License: Practical Nurse within 6 months of hire.
  • Basic Life Support certification.
  • Demonstrated clinical nursing skills, interpersonal and customer service skills, communication skills, and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Two (2+) years of nursing experience in an ambulatory care setting.
  • IV therapy experience or recent certification.
  • Familiarity with documenting in an electronic medical record system.
