About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Penetration Tester to join our team at Leidos. As a key member of our Digital Modernization Sector, you will play a critical role in supporting the Department of Homeland Security's (DHS) Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) Security Operations Center (SOC).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and lead a penetration testing program for CISA, ensuring the security of public-facing sites and high-value assets.
  • Conduct hands-on penetration testing, identifying vulnerabilities and providing recommendations for remediation.
  • Collaborate with the CISA ESOC team to develop and implement effective security measures.
  • Communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring seamless integration with the team.

Requirements:

  • 8-12 years of experience in penetration testing, with a strong background in web application, network, and cloud-based testing.
  • 5+ years of experience leading cyber teams, with a proven track record of success.
  • Must be able to obtain a CISA EOD certification.
  • Experience with industry-standard tools, such as Kali Linux, Metasploit, and Burp Suite.
  • One of the following penetration testing certifications: GPEN, GWAPT, GISF, GXPN, OSCP, OSCE, OSWP, OSEE, CISSP, or CEH.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior DHS IT security and/or audit experience.
  • Prior System Administrator experience.
  • Previous IT experience, specifically 7 years of professional experience in a Computer Science discipline.
  • Penetration testing experience with Kubernetes and/or Docker.
  • Mobile Application penetration testing experience.
  • Wireless penetration testing experience.
  • DHS Risk and Vulnerability Assessment (RVA) Operator certified.
