We are seeking a highly qualified Part-Time Instructor to teach designated courses in Graphic Design, Retail Merchandising, Apparel Design, and Product Design at the University of Minnesota.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver instructional content based on course objectives and student learning outcomes.
  • Teach classes as scheduled and engage with students outside of the classroom.
  • Participate in department committees and portfolio review.
Qualifications
  • A Master's or Bachelor's degree plus substantial professional recognition in the subject field or a closely related discipline.
  • Professional teaching experience with a focus in retail merchandising.
  • Evidence of competence to teach in content area is required.
  • Proven excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Evidence of attention to cultural diversity in teaching.
About the Department

The Department of Graphic Design, Retail Merchandising, Apparel Design, and Product Design is one of two academic departments in the College of Design. Our department has over 700 undergraduate majors and over 70 graduate students.
