Responsibilities- Prepare and deliver medications using various transport mechanisms under the direction of a pharmacist.
- Fills stat medication orders and prepares medication carts for distribution.
- Operate and maintain equipment, reporting any malfunctions or issues.
- Use a PC to access the Pharmacy Purchasing System and restock work areas as needed.
- Maintain accurate and complete records, adhering to current Infection Control and Safety Standards.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, patients, and healthcare teams.
- Work assigned shifts, including overtime and call, and maintain regular and prompt attendance.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Registry with the Alabama State Board of Pharmacy (ALBOP) as a Pharmacy Technician.
- Completion of an ALBOP-approved hospital technician training course within six months of registration.
