About the Position
The Department of Dance & Theatre at the University of North Texas is seeking qualified individuals for its Adjunct Instructor pool. This posting is for the Fall 2024, Spring 2025, and Summer 2025 semesters.
Job Summary
The Department of Dance & Theatre offers a range of undergraduate programs, including a B.A. in Theatre, a B.A. in Theatre with a Concentration in Performance, and a Theatre minor. The department is seeking Adjunct Instructors to teach various dance courses, including Ballet, Contemporary, Stress Reduction through Movement, Dance Appreciation, Hip Hop, Jazz, and Tap technique.
Responsibilities
- Teach dance courses at the undergraduate level
- Develop and implement course curriculum
- Assess student learning and provide feedback
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to departmental initiatives
Requirements
- M.A. or M.F.A. in Dance
- Experience teaching in Higher Education
- Terminal degree in discipline preferred
