Position Overview:
An Operations Technician role is integral to our pay-for-skills initiative, empowering individuals to enhance their expertise and create opportunities for increased earnings. Skill development may encompass Assembly, Machine Operation, or Material Handling.

Key Responsibilities:
1. **Assembly Skills:**
Individuals skilled in assembly are tasked with constructing products and associated components in a manufacturing environment, adhering to a standard work pace aligned with customer demand and lean manufacturing principles to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products.

2. **Machine Operation Skills:**
Those with machine operation expertise will manage specialized machinery to fabricate, manufacture, assemble, or transport products, ensuring compliance with all specifications and quality control standards. Responsibilities include maintaining machinery for optimal performance and executing various processes using diverse equipment within the manufacturing context.

3. **Material Handling Skills:**
Individuals proficient in material handling will receive, store, and retrieve raw and finished goods throughout the facility safely and accurately, ensuring proper tracking of parts.

Additional responsibilities may be assigned to meet business objectives.

Qualifications:
To excel in this role, candidates must successfully perform each essential duty. The following qualifications are essential:

  • Education/Experience: A high school diploma or equivalent (such as a GED) or relevant work experience demonstrating competency.
  • Skills and Abilities: Proficiency in basic math skills, ability to collaborate effectively within teams, and adaptability to a dynamic work environment.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and use hands for the duration of the shift, with the capacity to regularly lift and move up to 10 lbs, frequently lift and move up to 25 lbs, and occasionally lift and move up to 40 lbs.
  • Communication: Must possess effective communication skills and the ability to see with or without correction.
