POSITION SUMMARY
The individual in this role is tasked with ensuring the comfort, safety, and overall supervision of residents by assisting them with daily living activities, administering prescribed medications, and addressing their unique care requirements while becoming familiar with their personal preferences and characteristics.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Administer medications to residents in accordance with physician directives and document completion accurately.
- Review electronic Medication Administration Records (eMAR) each shift to guarantee timely medication and treatment delivery.
- Verify incoming medication orders for accuracy and update eMAR as necessary.
- Collaborate with residents to provide necessary assistance with daily living activities as outlined in their service plans.
- Respond promptly to resident call lights and safety alarms.
- Monitor and report changes in resident behavior and condition to the Care Coordinator and Director of Resident Care.
- Manage medication inventory to ensure an adequate supply is maintained.
- Complete daily documentation and reporting as required.
- Measure and record resident weights and vital signs.
- Assist in training new staff members as requested.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of resident rooms, work areas, and common spaces according to established schedules.
- Assist with meal preparation and cleanup as needed.
- Engage residents in planned activities and encourage participation.
- Foster positive relationships with residents, staff, and visitors.
- Remain alert and attentive during shifts.
Additional duties may be assigned as necessary within the scope of this role.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience: A high school diploma or GED is mandatory.
Certificates and Licenses:
CPR/First Aid certification is required or must be obtained within thirty (30) days of employment.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office within a Windows environment is essential, along with the ability to learn company-specific software.
