Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Systems Specialist to join our team at PF Holdings LLC Defunct. As an Electrical Systems Specialist, you will be responsible for the installation, modification, and repair of automated industrial control equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation and Maintenance: Install, modify, and repair automated industrial control equipment, including loop controllers, variable frequency drives, and control panels.
  • PLC Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot programmable logic control (PLC) systems, including Allen Bradley RS 5000, and resolve issues related to networking, Ethernet, ControlNet, and DeviceNet.
  • Electrical and Mechanical Systems: Design, plan, and maintain industrial control equipment and instrumentation, including mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine planned maintenance and emergency repairs of plant equipment, including conveyors, bucket elevators, and washing/drying equipment.
  • Troubleshooting and Repair: Troubleshoot mechanical equipment, PLCs, and ladder diagrams, AC and DC circuits, electrical sensors and switches, motor controls, and safety circuits.
  • Electrical Motor Repair: Install, troubleshoot, and repair electric motors and equipment (120, 240, and 480V).
  • Documentation and Communication: Complete preventive maintenance tasks, document finished work, and communicate with vendors to source replacement components for all electrical/electronic equipment.
  • Operational Support: Assist in the operation of industrial control equipment, including the use of hand tools and machine shop equipment, and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associates degree preferred; Journeyman Electrician License preferred; Four years combined schooling and industrial experience required.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Strong machine electrical background; I/O knowledge (hardwired/discrete, digital/ethernet, and analog) and the ability to read electrical schematics; Proven PLC troubleshooting experience; Proven HMI Programming experience preferred (Wonderware); Computer skills - Windows environment, loading and setup of various software platforms desired.
  • Working Conditions and Physical Requirements: Ability to work in adverse working conditions, including heat, wet, cold, noise, etc.; Ability to work in areas where noise levels are up to 85 dB; Ability to climb stairs, climb ladders, reach, stoop, squat, tolerate prolonged standing/walking, balance, bend, twist, crawl, kneel, push, and pull objects; Ability to operate hand controls with both hands; Ability to operate mobile equipment, foot pedals with both feet; Ability to perform sustained overhead reaching; Ability to tolerate working outdoors in all environmental temperatures and weather; Ability to work in areas with the potential for high noise levels; Ability to work in cramped quarters; Ability to lift objects of various dimensions and weights; Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, carry up to 150 feet; Ability to tolerate working at heights up to 150 feet; Vision: normal depth perception, vision, and ability to distinguish color.
