Academic/Student Services Manager Job Summary

The Allen School of Health Sciences is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Academic/Student Services Manager to join our team. As an integral part of our academics team, you will be responsible for teaching at least one course, tracking attendance, submissions, and grades, and working closely with various departments to ensure student success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach at least one course and accurately track attendance, submissions, and grades.
  • Work closely with Admissions, Registrar, Academics, Financial Aid, and Career Services to ensure student success.
  • Adapt teaching materials and methods to facilitate student skill development.
  • Evaluate student learning and provide feedback.
  • Complete special schedules and implement communication plans with students.
  • Liaise with other departments and direct students to appropriate offices as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of course enrollment, attendance, and student academic progress.

Qualifications:

  • Minimally possess a Medical Assistance Certificate or an Associate's degree in a healthcare field.
  • A bachelors, masters, or doctoral degree is preferred.
  • Current credentials in their area of expertise.
  • New York Education Department teaching license (we will assist candidates in obtaining this license if needed).
  • A minimum of two years of experience directly related to the areas of instruction is preferred.
  • Managerial experience is preferred.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Self-motivated and able to work effectively in a team environment.
