Position Overview

Atlantic General Hospital Corporation is seeking a dedicated Credit Balance/Collections Specialist to enhance our financial operations. This role is essential in managing relationships with insurance providers and ensuring accurate billing processes.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

  • Assist in establishing contracts with new insurance payers.
  • Process provider applications to secure provider numbers with insurance companies.
  • Maintain the provider's participation status with insurance organizations.
  • Support the upkeep of insurance websites relevant to our operations.
  • Update provider information with insurance companies as necessary.
  • Handle billing and collection tasks to resolve claims and ensure timely payments.
Qualifications

The ideal applicant will possess:

  • A High School diploma or equivalent; an Associate's degree is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills coupled with excellent customer service and computer proficiency.
  • Prior experience in healthcare billing, collections, or registration is advantageous.
  • Experience in healthcare credentialing is preferred.
