Job Summary:

We are seeking an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to join our team at Baptist Health.

Job Description:

As an EMT, you will provide non-emergent medical transport for patients discharged from inpatient care to discharge destination.

You will utilize necessary medical equipment to maintain patient care and status during transport.

Safely deliver patients to discharge destination and communicate effectively between facilities.

Provide emergent medical care when needed within BLS guidelines.

Communicate with the medical care facility receiving the patient about the patient's condition, status, and arrival time.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • Emergency Medical Technician-Basic Certification or Paramedic by the Kentucky Board of EMS required.
  • Valid Kentucky Motor Vehicle Operator's License required.
  • Valid Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) through the American Heart Association required.
  • Other certifications and specialty training as required by the Kentucky Board of EMS
