Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide oversight for the inspection and maintenance of state-owned bridges and box culverts.
- Conduct hands-on inspections of bridge structures.
- Assess and report on structural data and condition ratings.
- Identify necessary repairs and maintenance for bridges.
- Engage in design work related to bridge projects.
- Inspect newly constructed structures prior to final acceptance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- Ability to obtain NBI Team Leader certification.
- Must possess a Fundamental Engineering (FE) license.
Preferred Experience:
- At least three years of experience in transportation engineering.
- Possession of both FE and PE licenses is advantageous.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Understanding of civil engineering principles related to structural design, construction, and maintenance methods.
- Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant engineering software.
Abilities:
- Apply various engineering disciplines effectively.
- Read and interpret plans and shop drawings.

Additional Information:
The total compensation, including hourly wage and state/federal benefits, for an entry-level Assistant Region Bridge Engineer is approximately $88,469.00 annually.
Licenses and Certifications:
