Position Overview:

The Sourcing Specialist plays a vital role in assisting the Procurement team with a variety of essential tasks, including but not limited to processing purchase orders, managing returns of non-conforming materials, and tracking supplier shipments. This role will operate under established guidelines and utilize common procurement practices to ensure efficiency and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify procurement needs.
  • Participate in project management meetings, communicating supply chain actions to relevant stakeholders.
  • Generate purchase orders in the ERP system for materials and services.
  • Support the procurement team with order status updates and administrative tasks.
  • Maintain supplier records in the ERP system, ensuring all documentation is current and precise.
  • Coordinate the return and repair processes for non-conforming parts.
  • Work with the finance team to resolve discrepancies between invoices and purchase orders.
  • Organize and manage supplier compliance and import/export documentation.
  • Conduct market research to compare pricing and lead times, recommending optimal suppliers.
  • Develop and maintain key performance indicators and continuous improvement reports.
  • Facilitate meetings with suppliers regarding procurement and quality issues.
  • Oversee the procurement of office supplies and marketing materials.
  • Manage special projects to ensure they meet quality standards and deadlines.
  • Provide post-purchase support as needed.
  • Assist with inventory management tasks.
  • Support the processing of expense reports and travel authorizations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Procurement team.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Completion of 2 years of college or trade school is preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in procurement is preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Ability to adapt to changing demands in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of engaging with all organizational levels.
  • Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with ERP software is a plus.
  • Self-driven and proactive, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • A collaborative team player, able to work with various departments on special projects.
