Job Description
Construction Project Manager
We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Project Manager to join our team and work alongside one of our key public works clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of project delivery, from inception through to commissioning.
- Project Planning and Coordination
- Develop and implement project plans, including site layout and design, constructability reviews, and risk management.
- Team Leadership
- Lead a team of site project managers and coordinate with external vendors, architects, engineers, suppliers, and general contractors.
- Communication and Stakeholder Management
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and project team members.
- Technical Expertise
- Have in-depth knowledge of construction management in commercial building applications, including applicable building codes and standards.
- Safety and Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and identify potential risks to project cost and schedule.
Requirements
- Leadership and Management
- Ability to lead, coordinate, and organize multiple stakeholders, including general contractors, and deliver project/program status reports as required.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well within a team and liaise with external vendors.
- Education and Experience
- 5-10 years of public works experience, with a BS degree in Construction Management required and OSHA certification.
- Technical Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft tools and experience with project management software.
