About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Ultra Maritime. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance functions, including facilities maintenance, machine troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance.

Our ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, and metal fabrication principles, as well as excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including inspections, repairs, and replacements of equipment and machinery.
  • Locate and troubleshoot sources of problems, using a variety of tools and techniques.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including inventory management and reporting.
  • Train and mentor junior maintenance staff on best practices and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and minimize downtime.
Requirements:
  • Associates degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in maintenance or a related field, or 7+ years of experience with no formal training.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to obtain a US Government Security Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Electrical certification or Journeyman's Certificate.
  • Experience with PLCs and robotics.
  • Familiarity with NFPA 70: National Electrical Code & NFPA 70E: Electrical Safety in the Workplace.
  • OSHA Training.
  • Forklift and aerial lift experience.
  • Welding experience.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
  • Normal color vision and finger dexterity.
