As a Windows Desktop Security Engineer at Demo - Maximus, you will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity and security of our administrative workstation systems. Your primary focus will be on maintaining compliance with vulnerability and patch management across our desktop environment. Collaboration with various IT teams will be essential to safeguard our infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee endpoint management tools including Palo Alto Cortex XDR, McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator, and Microsoft Systems Center Configuration Manager
  • Address and resolve advanced trouble tickets escalated from the Service Desk
  • Perform scheduled patching of the Citrix environment during maintenance periods
Essential Qualifications:
  • At least 8 years of experience in the field of endpoint security engineering
  • Proficient in McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator, Palo Alto Cortex XDR, and Microsoft Systems Center Configuration Manager
  • Strong background in Microsoft Desktop and Windows Server administration
  • Capable of researching, designing, and implementing effective technical solutions
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of federal security frameworks such as NIST and DISA STIGs
  • Experience with vulnerability assessment tools like Tenable Nessus
  • Familiarity with scripting languages for automation purposes
  • Understanding of Microsoft Office 365 and 802.1x authentication protocols
  • Relevant industry certifications are advantageous
