Job Summary:

To excel in this role, you will perform intermediate patient financial service functions such as billing, follow-up, receiving and reviewing correspondence, reviewing third-party and patient billing, and resolving billing questions. You will also register and schedule patients, ensure proper data integrity for patient demographics and billing, and contribute to the financial success of Healthier Mississippi People through diligent work and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process and manage patient billing and insurance claims
  • Review and resolve billing discrepancies and errors
  • Ensure accurate and timely submission of claims to insurance companies
  • Collaborate with management and colleagues to achieve revenue cycle goals
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines and regulations
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Three years of revenue cycle experience
  • Intermediate knowledge of third-party insurance plans
  • Knowledge of ICD-10/HCPCS/CPT coding (preferred)
Work Environment:

This role requires occasional exposure to unpleasant or disagreeable physical environments, such as high noise levels and exposure to heat and cold. You will also be required to work occasional hours beyond regularly scheduled hours and travel to offsite locations.
