About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sales Manager to join our team at Wacker Chemical Corporation. As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for managing and growing revenue and profitability for assigned groups of accounts and/or geography.

Key Responsibilities
  • Account Management: Proactively identify, establish, and maintain relationships with key decision-makers at all levels and document account interactions.
  • Sales Growth: Grow and manage sales opportunities on a timely basis using our CRM system.
  • Product Knowledge: Build technical knowledge of our products and industry needs, and support the introduction of new products to relevant markets and to new customers.
  • Market Intelligence: Establish, maintain, and document market knowledge.
  • Customer Development: Maintain and execute customer development plans for key customers.
Requirements
  • Education: BS Degree in a relevant technical field (e.g., Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Material Sciences, Civil Engineering), Masters preferred.
  • Experience: 5+ years of sales experience in a chemical industry, preferably with experience in silicones.
  • Teamwork: Experience working in a team environment in a B2B enterprise is required.
  • Networking: Strong networking skills with co-workers, prospects, and customers.
  • Communication: Professional communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Technical Skills: Solid knowledge of CRM (Salesforce preferred) and ERP (SAP preferred) systems.
  • Self-Start: Proven ability to self-start and work with minimal supervision.
  • Professionalism: High degree of professionalism and business ethics.
  • Travel: Works from home office (preference Michigan) - up to 50% domestic travel.
