We are seeking an experienced Carpenter to join our team at Janotta & Herner/Firelands Fabrication (JHI Group). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
About the RoleThis is a full-time position that involves constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made of wood and other materials. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Constructing and installing frameworks, stairways, doorframes, and trim using carpenter's hand tools and power tools.
- Assembling and fastening materials to make framework.
- Measuring and marking cutting lines on materials using ruler, pencil, chalk, and marking gauge. Shaping or cutting materials to specified measurements using hand tools, machines, or power saw.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in construction or a related field is preferred.
- Physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor tasks in various weather conditions.
- Knowledge of basic construction tools and equipment.

CompensationThe estimated salary range for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
