Northstar Behavioral Health Network is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing individualized therapy, group therapy, and case management services to individuals struggling with substance use disorders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans that address the unique needs of each client.
  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions, as well as case management and crisis intervention services.
  • Document all services provided in accordance with Northstar Behavioral Health Network's policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in weekly case staffing meetings and supervision sessions to ensure high-quality care.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and referral sources to ensure successful treatment outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Valid LADC licensure in the state of Minnesota.
  • At least one year of experience in addiction counseling.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Minnesota Statutes related to providing services for individuals with substance use disorders.
  • CPR certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.
  • Pass a State of Minnesota Background Check.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office and Google Suite programs.
  • Familiarity with medication-assisted treatment for opioid use disorder (MAT) is preferred.
  • Specialty training in DBT-SUD, CBT, MI, or other evidence-based therapies is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Procentive, an Electronic Health Record System, is preferred.
