Electrical Engineer Job Description

Vishay Intertechnology Inc. is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our team in Bennington, VT. As a key member of our R&D team, you will be responsible for developing new equipment and integrating old equipment to modernize and automate production lines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sourcing and procuring machines and equipment for manufacturing and testing needs
  • Instructing electrical technicians in the wiring of machine and instrument boards and panels
  • Troubleshooting legacy equipment and developing new software/hardware for manufacturing equipment
  • Assisting application and R&D engineering in the characterization testing of Wet Tantalum Capacitors
  • Developing software in Labview
  • Troubleshooting PLC and HMI preferred
  • Troubleshooting electrical issues for manufacturing equipment
  • Providing support for maintenance and engineering
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Licensed electrician a plus
  • Demonstratable verbal and written skills
  • Firm understanding in basic electrical circuits
  • Demonstratable interest in machine development projects
  • Demonstratable interest and talent in machine coding
  • Mechanical aptitude desirable
  • General understanding of relevant design software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, OrCAD, Inventor, etc.
