Position Overview:

The Plasma Processing Technician plays a crucial role in the collection and management of plasma samples, ensuring they are handled with the utmost care and precision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collects plasma samples and transfers units to appropriate storage facilities.
  • Ensures that all units are stored correctly and that labeling is accurate.
  • Employs sterile techniques to draw samples, maintaining the highest quality standards.
  • May assist with the shipping and disposal of plasma units as needed.
  • Monitors laboratory equipment and performs necessary calibrations.
  • Accurately records donor information and data.
  • Promotes a safe working environment for all personnel.
  • Maintains confidentiality regarding sensitive information.
  • May receive training in additional areas to enhance versatility.
  • Bilingual skills may be advantageous.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Experience: A minimum of three months of experience in a laboratory or warehouse setting is preferred.

Working Conditions: Candidates must be able to follow detailed instructions, perform tasks while standing, lift up to 25 pounds, and work in a fast-paced environment that may involve hazardous materials.
