Job Summary

Ultimate Staffing is seeking an experienced Electromechanical Repair Technician to join a client in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This is a temp-to-hire position based on performance, offering the opportunity to work on a variety of electromechanical projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and Determine Root Cause of Failure: Assess and diagnose issues with RMA chassis to identify the root cause of failure.
  • Estimate Labor and Materials Required: Determine the necessary labor and materials required for repair or upgrade of RMA chassis.
  • Install and Test Electro-Mechanical Components: Install and test electro-mechanical components, ensuring proper functionality.
  • Perform Mechanical Repair and Troubleshoot Wiring: Perform mechanical repair and troubleshoot wiring issues with RMA units.
  • Communicate Effectively and Generate DDR Changes: Communicate effectively with the team and generate DDR changes as necessary to reflect actual wiring and mechanical build of chassis.
  • Perform Self-Inspection: Conduct self-inspection according to Manufacturing Checklist to ensure quality and accuracy.
Requirements
  • Minimal Instructions Required: Normally receives very minimal instructions in performing electro-mechanical repair or upgrading standard to semi-complex RMA chassis, but may require technical guidance from engineering for RMA chassis with high complexity.
  • Ability to Work on Assignments of Varying Complexity: Ability to work on assignments ranging from standard to high complexity in nature.
  • Judgment and Problem-Solving Skills: Requires judgment in solving problems and ability to suggest changes and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Verbal and Written Communication Skills: Must be able to provide comprehensive verbal or written reports of evaluated/analyzed RMA chassis.
  • Independence and Self-Motivation: Performs mechanical assembly and electrical wiring independently with no supervision required.
  • Familiarity with Electronic Components and Tools: Familiar with the use of various electronic components and mechanical hand tools.
  • Math Skills and Attention to Detail: Good math skills and attention to detail required.
  • Ability to Read and Interpret Diagrams and Instructions: Ability to read and/or work from both mechanical and wiring diagrams and written instructions.
  • Basic Exposure to Electronic Circuits: Ability to trouble shoot problems in electrical circuitry and some basic exposure to electronic circuits.
  • Ability to Understand and Configure Component Requirements: Must be able to understand and configure electro-mechanical component requirements through AWO instructions and B.O.M.
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to lift/carry a minimum weight of 50 pounds.
  • Manual Dexterity and Good Communication Skills: Good manual dexterity and ability to communicate effectively required.
  • Education and Experience: AA/Technical Certification, Diploma in Electronics or equivalent, and 1-3 years of relevant experience.
