Bearing Distributors Inc. (BDI) is a leading global supplier of industrial products and services, committed to delivering exceptional customer service and technical expertise.
Job Overview:
The Outside Sales Representative is a key role in driving business growth by establishing new customers and servicing existing ones within a defined geographical territory.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, providing product quotations and resolving issues.
- Capture new business opportunities through strategic initiatives, such as new product introductions and account targeting.
- Identify and pursue new target opportunities, working closely with Suppliers Partners to service customers.
- Utilize Microsoft Outlook to schedule and report activities, documenting cost savings for customers and BDI.
- Effectively manage time and sales territory by adhering to BDI's Standard Selling Process.
- Contribute to business sales planning and forecasting.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 3 years of sales experience, preferably in industrial supply or a related field.
- Self-motivated and results-driven, with strong basic computer skills and Microsoft Office proficiency.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work individually and in a team environment.
- Ability to identify customer needs and provide mutually beneficial solutions.
- Travel as needed within the assigned sales territory, with the ability to pass a motor vehicle record (MVR) check.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Industry-specific experience and knowledge of the customer base.
- Strong product knowledge, including bearing, power transmission, belting, motors, gear drives, and fluid power.
- Mechanical aptitude and a passion for providing service and solutions to customers.
