Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pump Mechanic to join our team at GPAC, a leading search firm specializing in placing quality professionals within multiple industries across the United States.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the overall workload of the Repair Center by performing pump repair, manufacturing, and production tasks.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work scopes to ensure accurate repairs and manufacturing processes.
  • Sharpen tools and use gauges, calipers, and micrometers to measure work to tolerances of 0.0005 inches.
  • Work with various metallic and non-metallic materials, including continuous standing and lifting of 5 to 60 pounds.
  • Disassemble, repair, reassemble, and test reconditioned components.
  • Travel for field service jobs as assigned, approximately 15% of the time, based on customer needs.
Requirements
  • Computer skills, including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Quality Assurance System knowledge, including ISO-9001:2008, and ability to train others on company procedures.
  • Centrifugal Pumps expertise, including API-610, and good knowledge of part types, use, and manufacturing processes.
  • A minimum of 10 years' experience working in a centrifugal pump repair shop.
