JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in a manufacturing or packaging environment.
- Proficient in mid-level PLC and vision system technologies.
- Expertise in essential mechanical repairs, including motors and gearboxes.
- Basic understanding of electrical systems.
- Experience with shop tools such as lathes, drill presses, and welding is advantageous.
- Capable of interpreting CAD drawings and designing layouts for new machinery or production lines as required.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the daily oversight and management of mechanical staff.
- Manage machine-related tasks, including packaging projects, maintenance, parts procurement, and service coordination.
- Evaluate daily mechanical operations to ensure adherence to company cGMP and SOP standards.
- Supervise the setup, repair, and preventive maintenance of packaging machinery for both bottle and blister operations.
- Ensure comprehensive training for all mechanical team members, maintaining proper documentation of training records.
- Drive continuous improvement in production efficiency through effective machine setups, maintenance practices, and personnel development.
- Develop timelines, layouts, and review electrical schematics for the installation of new machinery.
- Conduct IQ/OQ reviews and approvals.
- Manage external service contracts and negotiations for equipment such as compressors and PLCs.
- Facilitate the installation and configuration of new vision systems as necessary.
- Possess knowledge in welding, machine fabrication, and technical repairs.
Salary Range: $35.00-$45.00/hour based on experience.
