Foundation Associate

A unique opportunity has arisen for a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join the American Osteopathic Foundation as a Foundation Associate. This role will provide support to the Programs and Scholarships department, as well as the Campaign and Events teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Partner with the Campaign Director to create materials, maintain donor prospect lists, and organize communications for the AOF's first Major Gift Campaign.
  • Assist with the coordination of Cabinet Meetings, Committee Meetings, and Donor Receptions, ensuring attention to detail and timeliness.
  • Work closely with Directors to prepare agendas and supporting materials, distribute accordingly, and attend meetings as assigned.
  • Prepare minutes for Director's review and work with the Campaign Director and Development Staff to create and distribute heartfelt donor acknowledgment letters.
  • Collaborate with the Programs Director to review scholarship applications for eligibility, communicate with applicants, and send notification letters.
  • Partner with the Marketing Director to promote award winners on AOF social platforms.
  • Capture donor information and award winner data using Raisers Edge, with the support of data entry consultants when needed.
Additional Administrative Duties:
  • Oversee AOF email inboxes, review incoming correspondence, and address or forward accordingly.
  • Support tasks as needed from the Campaign Director, Director of Development, Major and Planned Gifts Officer, and the Programs Director.
  • Support the AOF's annual gala as requested.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to balance, prioritize, and complete numerous projects simultaneously.
  • Advanced expertise in Microsoft programs, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Working knowledge of customer relationship programs, with Raisers Edge a plus.
