Special Education Specialist for Autism Support

Job Description:We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Special Education Teacher to join our team. As a Special Education Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering instruction and support to students with special needs, helping them achieve academic success and reach their full potential.
The successful candidate will work closely with students, parents, and other professionals to create personalized education plans (IEPs), implement effective teaching strategies, and monitor student progress. This rewarding opportunity will allow you to make a positive impact on the lives of students with autism and other developmental disabilities.
Responsibilities:- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs
- Provide direct instruction and support to students in a supportive learning environment
- Modify instructional materials and activities to meet individual student needs
- Collaborate with other professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to education
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed
- Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers
- Participate in IEP meetings and other collaborative meetings
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
To be considered for this position, applicants must possess a Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field and hold state-issued certification in Special Education. Relevant experience working with students with autism and other developmental disabilities is also essential.
The ideal candidate will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to adapt instruction to meet individual student needs. A deep understanding of special education laws and regulations is also required.
