Work Schedule: Monday to Thursday - 3 PM to 11:30 PM, weekend on-call required

Community Overview:

AdventHealth Parker operates as a Level II Trauma Center, committed to delivering exceptional, community-centered healthcare. Since our inception in 2004, we have evolved into a prominent regional medical facility. In 2017, we achieved Magnet Recognition, and in 2018, we became one of only five hospitals nationwide to receive Joint Commission Certification for Bariatrics. Our facility includes 170 licensed beds, 23 private rooms in the Emergency Department, and 13 surgical suites.

Your Role:

Deliver exceptional patient care within the medical imaging department. Conduct high-quality imaging and examinations while being sensitive to patient needs. Adhere to established safety standards in radiation practices. Exhibit leadership qualities and serve as a role model for fellow technologists. Act as a clinical resource for students, staff technologists, and other healthcare personnel. Ensure compliance with current practice standards.

Your Contributions to the Team:

  • Execute diagnostic radiology procedures, ensuring safety for yourself, patients, and others. Follow all regulations related to radiation safety, minimizing exposure to the lowest possible levels.
  • Generate quality images promptly and accurately.
  • Prepare patients for examinations, providing necessary information and addressing their physical and emotional needs.
  • Assist patients during procedures and ensure proper positioning.
  • Monitor patients and equipment throughout the procedure, documenting any unusual occurrences and recording patient conditions.
  • Facilitate efficient patient flow, scheduling, and optimal resource utilization.

Qualifications:

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Proficient in all aspects of Diagnostic Imaging, including Surgery and Trauma. Previous experience as a Radiologic Technologist is preferred. A minimum of one year post-certification experience is necessary to evaluate and instruct student radiographers.
  • Registered Technologist, Radiology - R.T. (R) (ARRT) certification required.
  • Current Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Bone Density certification preferred within six months of hire, if applicable.
