Seeking a dedicated and caring individual to join our team as a Child Care Aide. This role is an excellent opportunity for those passionate about working with children and contributing to their growth and development.

About the Role:

  • This position involves assisting in setting up child care locations and environments, ensuring they are safe and conducive to learning.
  • Under the direction of the OST Youth Programs Coordinator and daily guidance of the OST Manager, you will implement and monitor activities that promote quality service and maintain a secure environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with colleagues to establish a nurturing and engaging atmosphere for children.
  • Implement and monitor activities that cater to the needs and interests of school-aged youth.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated excellence in teamwork and collaboration.
  • Enthusiasm and ability to work effectively with students.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional learning and growth.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; no prior experience necessary, but six months of experience working with school-aged youth or directly related work experience is preferred.
  • First Aid certification within three months of hire.
  • Must meet eligibility requirements for an 'Aide' under Minnesota DHS licensing requirements for child care centers.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • The hourly rate for this position ranges from $14.25 to $16.40, plus an additional $1.75 per hour through MN DHS Grant funds.
  • A competitive benefit package is available for the region.
